Head of Marketing (Financial Services) to £50K + performance related bonus

Our client is responsible for providing complementary regulated insurance and mortgage products to approximately 70,000 core business customers.
Position: Head of Marketing Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire Salary: £50K
ROLE: The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing, presenting and maintaining marketing strategies in line with and to meet the short, medium and long term objectives of our client. They are not looking for someone who repeats the tired philosophies that they have heard before but someone who is genuinely excited about initiating their own plans to really drive the department forward. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Responsible for the marketing of company products and services, to B2B or B2C markets, through the effective management and coordination of the Marketing Team. b) Develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with demands of the business generally, and line manager specifically. c) Budget management direct marketing staff where budgets are devolved and to deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget. d) Effective line management of team, and as appropriate, co-partnering on delivery on agreed and specified projects. e) To conduct market research in order to identify market requirements for future products. f) Offer coaching for prospective client meetings, presentations, etc to business development and sales team. g) Work with Lisbon offices on designing and implementing prospecting and relevant marketing. h) Coordinate work with external agencies in line with demands and delivery target of business.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Proven experience in a senior marketing and business development role. b) Extensive experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives. c) A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. d) A proven ability to work with directors, co-partner with peer group and manage and coordinate line management.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE a) Strong knowledge of the financial products and services that financial companies have to offer would be highly desirable.
