Brand Manager - up to £40k pa - Central London

Main purpose is to build a strong brand and reputation for our client by developing and delivering marketing and promotional plans to support its corporate strategic objectives. It works with each department to lead and coordinate its marketing to ensure brand consistency, promote best practice and share ideas.

To act as brand champion to embed the brand values across the organisation and drive activity and change to ensure the brand objectives are achieved.

Main Responsibilities of Role
Develop and implement on-going brand strategy to support the international growth and development of the organisation's membership, products and services.
Raise the profile and develop the brand and reputation in our client key UK locations.
Working with other departments in their marketing and ensure this is coordinated and consistent with the brand strategy.
To manage the brand agency and to build effective agency relationship(s)
To establish an on-going programme of activity in close liaison with the brand champions,
Work with the internal communications manager to ensure staff are engaged with the brand implementation programme.
To liaise with the research team to ensure that appropriate benchmarks are established and measures taken regularly to assess the impact of the brand
To manage the brand in all its expressions, to advise internal colleagues on brand-related issues.
To liaise with design, marketing and advertising agencies in support of other marketing projects.
Act as the brand guardian for both online and offline communications
Develop a brand budget as part of the departments operational planning and manage the finances on a day to day basis.
To manage, develop and motivate the Brand Assistant.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualification (or equivalent)
Experience
Solid experience in marketing planning/strategy in a business to business environment. Knowledge/experience in the professional/financial services or education sector desirable
Knowledge/experience of UK business to business marketing
Practical approach to planning, organising and implementation of marketing communications planning.
Experience of working across functional boundaries in a large organisation
Line management experience including managing and motivating a small team, setting objectives and performance measurement
Excellent project management and time management skills.
Budgetary planning and control
Personal skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and influence staff at all levels
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including excellent copy-writing and proof-reading skills
Ability to work on own initiative with the drive and confidence to deliver at the highest level
Excellent IT skills and Microsoft Office
