Marketing and Communications Executive
Location: Newcastle
Responsible to: Marketing Manager
Salary: £18,000-£28,000 subject to experience
You will play a key role in the Firm’s Marketing activities, in particular Communications and PR. Essential to this is developing the flow of information between the marketing team and business units, improving internal communications and cross selling. You will be required to attend monthly meetings with unit heads to garner information relating to the work being carried out by their team, spot PR opportunities and produce reports to update the marketing team and circulate around the firm on a regular basis. From this you will ensure the firm’s newsletter is produced and disseminated on a regular basis with appropriate articles on interesting and newsworthy activities for promotion to clients, prospects and staff. Develop and implement a mechanism for communicating with the firm as a whole about developments within the firm and successes.
You will also be responsible for building links with appropriate publications and media, identifying and capitalising on news worthy stories, producing appropriate press releases and articles and securing their publication and inclusion in relevant media.
You should be an excellent communicator and will be required to liaise and build relationships with appropriate contacts including our PR advisor, publishers, customers and suppliers as required to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Contribute to the review, update and development of the firm's brochures, literature and website – including writing and proofreading copy and liaising with designers and printers
Develop a portfolio of documents to improve the speed and efficiency of pulling together pitch documents
Manage and develop the marketing database (within the Practice Management System)
Prepare presentations, tender documents, award campaigns and pitch documents
Assist the marketing team in other appropriate projects and activities
