Commercial Manager
Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board was created in April 2004 to market and develop tourism in the sub-region. The Marketing function is an integral part of its plan to increase visitor numbers and spend, which is currently worth £1.8 billion a year and attracts 62 million visitors to the area.
£28,172 – £30,598 (Pay award pending)
Based in Chorley, Lancashire
As the new Commercial Manager you will develop and sustain commercial activity through the planning and implementation of tourism marketing campaigns.
Accountable to the Director of Marketing, you will have a proven track record at senior level within a tourism, leisure or related marketing environment and have experience of undertaking income generation activity, including business planning and the achievement of targets. You should also have experience of managing and supporting teams in order to meet agreed objectives.
Working in partnership with stakeholders, businesses and local authorities you will play a central role in achieving the commercial potential of the tourist board.
