Job Description

Are you looking to develop your marketing career with a well-established and reputable publisher?
Our client, a world leading society publishing house, based in modern, purpose-built offices in Oxford, has recently registered an excellent Marketing Controller vacancy within their Books Marketing team.

The purpose of the role will be to manage the day-to-day processes and workflows of the books marketing team, taking particular responsibility for the scheduling and administration of copywriting, catalogue and review functions. Key responsibilities will include:

·Coordinating a copywriting schedule with editorial colleagues to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met;
·Managing workflow to freelance copywriters, and maintaining information on author approval from subject teams;
·Taking responsibility for the monthly circulation of the draft Preview catalogue booklist;
·Working with subject marketing and central marketing colleagues to produce and maintain a schedule for the production of all annual subject catalogues;
·Working closely with subject marketing colleagues to ensure that direct marketing, e-marketing and advertising campaigns are correctly logged with central marketing;
·Becoming the team's super-user for a new central marketing scheduling system;
·Developing a strong working knowledge of all in-house databases, and utilising these effectively in managing information, campaigns, and workflows.
·Responding promptly and politely to customers' written, telephone and email enquiries.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and will possess proven office and administrative experience. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, and you will have excellent attention to detail. Good computer skills are also essential.
