We have recently registered an excellent sales-focussed role working for an Oxford-based specialist publishing company. The organisation is relatively small, and the culture is friendly and enabling. They are looking to employ an International Trade Sales Executive in this unique role.
The purpose of the role is to maximise the revenue potential of the company's assets through sales of products worldwide, as well as through rights and licensing deals worldwide. Broadly, the key responsibilities will involve:
·Achieving corporate sales targets in a number of territories;
·Enabling International Distributors to sell, market and promote the company lists effectively;
·Taking responsibility for all sales-related activity within territories;
·Managing Export Accounts;
·Appointing and managing sales agents;
·Maintaining product awareness and that of others in order to support effective selling;
·Maintaining market awareness to ensure the potential income from rights is exploited from all suitable publishers/purchasers.
This really is a very broad overview of the key areas of responsibility within the role, and it is a varied and challenging position, ideal for a motivated and enthusiastic team-player looking for their next sales role.
The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with sales experience who can demonstrate a real passion for the role. A publishing background would be preferable, but this is not an essential requirement.
Please be aware that there will be around 8 12 weeks of travelling involved in this role, to Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East. You will need to be a cool, calm and collected because you will be meeting and working with all sorts of people and cultures.
The salary for this role is in the region of c. £20,000 - £25,000 plus benefits such as 25 days holiday, a company pension scheme and the possibility to work flexible hours.
