Are you looking to develop your marketing career with a well-established and reputable publisher?
Our client, a world leading society publishing house, based in modern, purpose-built offices in Oxford, has recently registered an excellent Marketing Executive vacancy within their Books Marketing team.
The purpose of this exciting role will be to successfully market new and backlist titles on specific subject lists, with the objective of increasing revenue and developing the scope and profile of certain lists within the market. Key responsibilities will include:
·Ensuring that all textbooks, reference titles and trade/academic books are promoted in a suitable manner to the target audience;
·Marketing planning for their subject lists and in communicating relevant information to all stakeholders;
·Coordinating marketing handover forms for lists in a timely manner;
·Writing effective selling copy for use in different situations;
·Contributing to publishing decisions at the weekly publishing group meeting;
·Responding promptly and politely to customers' written, telephone and e-mail enquiries;
·Agreeing and maintaining a schedule for subject catalogue production, and coordinating efforts with their global subject teams;
·Planning exceptional conference activities e.g. receptions or launches, within budget constraints;
·Developing a strong working knowledge of in-house databases.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and will possess proven office and administrative experience. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, and you will have excellent attention to detail. Good computer skills are also essential, and you should have some database experience, though full training on in-house systems will be provided.
