Marc Daniels are recruiting on behalf of a large Business Services Organisation for a Senior Business Analyst, based within Slough. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of internal and external financial information and analysis in the company.
Responsibilities:
Analysis
·Analysis of results and monthly reports, budgets and forecasts, including both financial and non-financial information.
·Evaluation and development of KPI information and onward reporting of the same.
·Spotting trends in and analysis of KPI information.
·Analysing data and discussing conclusions through engagement with countries.
·Ad hoc commercial and operational reporting and analysis.
Decision Support
· Input into the development and presentation of long range plans, annual financial plans, budget and forecasts
·Supporting the development of business cases for significant capital investments, projects and acquisitions to ensure that they are commercially and financially sound.
·Support [country and divisional] projects by advising on financial matters and to ensure consistency with the financial plans of the division
·Assist in the development of business and financial systems with a view to enhancing business efficiency, ensuring compliance with Group and Divisional Policy and driving standardisation of presentation and ways of working across the Division.
·Ad hoc projects in the area of decision support.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a Qualified Accountant with continuous relevant training and development to support their professional status. They will possess broad business knowledge, including commercial, market and financial awareness, with at least 5 years financial or managerial experience. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, with the proficiency to build and maintain relationships. Competent in Microsoft Office systems such as Excel and Word is essential.
