Internal Communications Channel Manager (Marketing)
Based at either Scunthorpe or Teesside (Covering Sites in Teesside / Dalzell / Clydebridge / Hartlepool / Hayange)
£28,000 - £35,000 plus Excellent Benefits
Our client is one of the world's largest metal producers with an annual turnover of over £9 billion and major operating facilities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Belgium. The company has 41,200 employees in over 40 countries and sales offices and service centres worldwide.
They currently have an excellent opportunity for a full time Internal Communications Channel Manager to join their division.
The post holder will implement communications from the division to the business sites, ensuring the effective communication of strategy so that all employees are aligned to this. You will also provide upward communications from the business sites, identifying areas for sharing and learning and events.
You will be expected to manage the production and distribution of monthly / fortnightly site based newspaper publications, and monitor the usage of other local site based publications. You will also be expected to manage and grow local site Communication Advisory Groups (CAGs) and other communication networks to help support the change programme.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will possess experience in an internal communications role. You must have personal experience of implementing and delivering internal communications processes and channels in a large organisation. It is also vital that you have the ability to establish and grow relationships, then network within them.
The dimensions of the job indicate that the job-holder must have the capacity to learn and hold a broad understanding of a highly complex and technically orientated business.
As this role will be responsible for communications for a number of sites the successful applicant will be expected to travel to these locations as and when necessary.
