Internal Communications Executive / Marketing Officer
Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire
£22,000 - £30,000 plus Excellent Benefits
Our client is one of the world's largest metal producers with an annual turnover of over £9 billion and major operating facilities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Belgium. The company has 41,200 employees in over 40 countries and sales offices and service centres worldwide.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Executive to join their team in Scunthorpe.
The successful candidate will provide upward communications from plant areas within the site, identifying information for sharing, learning and events. You will assist in ensuring the effective communication of the site cultural change programme including helping to run change events. You will also be required to support corporate and divisional employee feedback processes including employee surveys and focus groups.
You will assist with the production of monthly / fortnightly site based newspaper publications and will work with site personnel on the creation of plant based publications. You will be responsible for creating a contents plan for the site communication notice boards and work with relevant designers to create appropriate content.
The successful candidate must have experience of working in an internal communications position in a large organisation. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will possess the ability to establish and grow relationships, then network within them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a pre-requisite, as well as editorial and proof reading skills. The job will entail a degree of travel so a clean drivers licence would be preferred
The dimensions of the job indicate that the job-holder must have the capacity to learn and hold a broad understanding of a highly complex and technically orientated business.
Located in Scunthorpe, this role is commutable from areas such as Grimsby, Kingston upon Hull, Doncaster, Beverley, Selby, Goole, Hatfield and Gainsborough.
