Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire

Our client is one of the world's largest metal producers with an annual turnover of over £9 billion and major operating facilities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Belgium. The company has 41,200 employees in over 40 countries and sales offices and service centres worldwide.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Events Manager to join their progressive team in Scunthorpe.
The post holder will be responsible for the organisation, implementation and monitoring of internal events. You will oversee the coordination of these events across all sites to ensure consistent messaging and branding whilst ensuring that all aspects of event management are kept to time and on budget. You will also manage and build relationships with external events suppliers including venues, caterers, AV companies and designers to ensure we get the best possible service.
The development of a detailed divisional event plan incorporating internal events for all business sites will be your responsibility. You will also create and maintain event policies and procedures to be followed by Internal Communication Channel Managers when running events.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with specialist knowledge of professional events organisation. You must have evidence of successful events management in a large organisation and the ability to establish and grow relationships. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential as is an eye for meticulous attention to detail.
The job entails working with sites all over the business so the position must be willing to travel, hold a clean driving license and be willing to work flexible hours.
Located in Scunthorpe, this role is commutable from areas such as Grimsby, Kingston upon Hull, Doncaster, Beverley, Selby, Goole, Hatfield and Gainsborough.
