Project Officer Tourism Development
Eastleigh, Hampshire
£22,000 - £26,000 DOE
Our client is the South East England's tourist board. Working with tourism businesses, governments and many key organisations, they are committed to supporting the industry and promoting the south east as a top tourist location. An opportunity has now arisen for a Project Officer to join their Development Services team.
As a Project Officer you will be responsible for a range of projects designed to support tourism businesses and develop the region's visitor economy. Working with a varied and ever changing portfolio, your role will involve working on initiatives to drive up the quality of tourism businesses, and championing the work of our client.
Your main duties will include:
- managing our client's accessibility programme and looking for new opportunities to develop this area
- investigating external funding opportunities
- managing the delivery of Product Sector Studies in partnership with marketing, and delivering consumer awareness campaigns
- providing an advice service to the industry on management, support services and development opportunities
- updating and managing the business advice content on their B2B website
- controlling and managing budgets set for your areas of responsibility
To succeed as the Project Officer you must be degree educated (or equivalent) with experience in project and budget management. Experience working in the tourism or local government sectors would be highly beneficial to your application.
This role will involve visits to client sites.
