Communications Officer

Our client, a well known Local Government department, is seeking a temporary communications officer to join their vibrant team.
The successful Communications Officer will be responsible for; delivering appropriate communications alongside Project Managers, developing key messages targeted at internal stakeholders to ensure effective engagement, and focusing on continuing development of strategy.
As a prominent Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be required to prepare communications for both internal and external events to meet the needs for particular stakeholders, ensure consistency in messages used on all materials and identify good media opportunities and potential case studies.
While working with the communications department the candidate will also be expected to identify and maximise the councils existing methods for internal and external communications and offer any recommendations they feel necessary.
The appointed Communications Officer will have a high level of computer literacy, the ability to work to tight deadlines, be able to plan and prioritise workloads, as well as bringing a creative approach to communications campaigns.
