Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of a comprehensive PR and Communications service to the Group, ensuring it is strategically correct, on budget and on time.
To develop, help implement and monitor the individual members' PR plans in accordance with the overall communications plan, working with both outside agencies and internal teams.
Key Accountabilities
1. Brief external PR agencies to co-ordinate the successful and timely release of targeted internal and external communications and media activity in line with the Group's corporate identity and communication and marketing plan.
2. Take responsibility for the development, upkeep and delivery of individual members' PR plans. Ensuring deadlines are met; objectives achieved; budgets managed efficiently and solid business relationships are developed with internal customers through regular and pro-active contact.
3. Provide PR and Communications advice and expertise to internal customers, channelling information as appropriate to deliver successful outcomes whilst ensuring a professional image both internally and externally.
4. Manage the communications process for internal customers and teams - turning ideas into reality whilst monitoring progress of campaigns, making recommendations for modifications where appropriate and ensuring objectives and deadlines are met.
5. Research, develop and maintain a stock of appropriate communication material, case studies etc and a system to promote and control usage across the Group whilst ensuring activity remains within budget and is reported on.
6. Assist in producing and issuing communications both internally and externally to promote the Group's events, services and products.
7. Monitor and report the Group's Media coverage and competitor activity.
8. Plan, produce and manage all the Group's Awards entries ensuring they are strategically correct, within corporate guidelines and on time.
