Job Description

A pro-active and personable Communications officer required for a diverse role within an interesting organisation

Day rate Ł95 - Ł110 per day Immediate start

Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2009

A leading public sector organisation working at the leading edge of the development of health and social care services in England, and supports and encourages the NHS and other organisations to involve patients and the public in health and social care decision-making.

The desired Communications Officer will work across all aspects of the organisations busy communications function.

Main duties within the post.

In this challenging and responsible role you will be dealing with a wide variety of people and tasks every day
Putting together a newsletter to go out to several thousand subscribers to responding to searching enquiries from busy health professionals or volunteer groups to editing and posting content to websites.
This post will also involve media relations - liaising with press to raise the organisations profile.

Applications are invited for individuals with a cool head, fastidious attention to detail and the ability to juggle a number of projects at the same time.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who wants real responsibility and can cope with the demands of a multi-faceted role.
