My client is working exclusively with Hays to source an Interim Involvement and Engagement Manager who can start immediately within their organisation.
The successful candidate MUST have extensive working knowledge of PPI (Patient and Public Liaison) and PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Services) within the NHS, recently.
Reporting into the Head of Organisational Effectiveness and responsible for a team of PALS Officers, the key purpose of this post is to implement and develop the trust's Involvement and Engagement agenda ensuring a wide participation in the planning, commissioning, development and monitoring of health services. Emphasis will be placed on expansion of established involvement activities within the trust, identifying innovative ways in which participation of the public, patients, careers and representative organisations can be developed.
Key accountabilities:
- Develop Involvement and Engagement in primary care, community services and commissioning
- Develop and maintain positive, constructive relationships with key groups and stakeholders
- Plan and organise engagement activities to support the Involvement and Engagement strategy ensuring stakeholders play a key part in consultation processes
- Translate national policy into local strategy
- Work closely and develop relationships with PPI forum and networks throughout the geographical area to share good practice and resources
- Work with partner organisations and colleagues to develop user and carer involvement
- Facilitate workshops and events for staff, patients, the public and stakeholder bodies
- Work with the communications team to ensure all changes and developments relating to involvement and engagement activity are communicated effectively
- Line manage PALS service
- Plan and make recommendations on provision for education development across the trust Essential skills and experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of PPI
- Recent experience within the NHS
- Staff management including grievance/disciplinary matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Evidence of external relationship building with stakeholders and staff within diverse communities
- Ability to develop processes and policies which meet the needs of users and the trust
- Ability to work to tight deadlines autonomously or as part of a team ONLY IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE CANDIDATES, OR CANDIDATES ON LESS THAN ONE WEEKS NOTICE, NEED APPLY.
