Project Manager

A top project manager is required to manage a new design focused project within the health sector.

Project Manager + Public Sector + London + 12 month contract + £35k - £45k

Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the project successfully, engaging the design community and furniture/equipment suppliers to produce design-led solutions that are suitable for the health sector. This is an amazing company to work for and would suit an established project manager with public sector experience.

Responsibilities:
· Manage the relationships
· Manage any other supplier relationships during delivery so as to maximise quality according to agreed contractual arrangements
· Manage the project funding, allocating budget to the workstreams appropriately, and ensuring value for money
· Structure and manage the project in accordance with internal methods and practices
· Communicate with the project team (internally and externally) to ensure common understanding of progress and work deliverables
· Manage project-related delivery issues and risks in the first instance and report progress, issues and risks to the Chief Design Officer, Project Office and/or Executive Team as appropriate
· Prepare and maintain all appropriate project documentation (e.g. project plans, risk and issue logs etc.)
· Put in place appropriate project support and contract management processes to ensure successful delivery of the project (e.g. change, status reports, risk, issue, acceptance, support, supplier management etc)
· Conduct end-project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and prepare end-project report
· Preparing any follow-on action recommendations as required including potential bids for further work

Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Desirable
· Prince II trained, or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
· Excellent project management experience within a formal methodology
· Proven experience of managing significant budgets
· Experience of product development, preferably in the medical environment or within the NHS

Desirable
· Strong understanding of design methodologies
· Strong communications experience in developing brands and or leading public facing projects
· Experience of managing relationships within government.

This role is a 12 month contract and they would like someone to start as soon as possible.
