PR SENIOR ACCOUNT DIRECTOR - up to £50,000 pa
EXCELLENT BENEFITS

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Account Director to report to the Managing Director and working with senior leadership team (HR and Finance).

This role has both client facing as well as operation focus.

A solid background in B2B and ICT and Technology PR is a must, as well as proven people management experience.

The Company
This dynamic Public Relations agency was established in 1990 to focus solely on the technology markets and the education sector.

With over a decade's experience actively promoting businesses, organisations and events in these markets, it has built up a strong media network and offering specific expertise in the following markets:

Business to Business technology
Business to Consumer technology
ICT in education
Telecommunications
Electronics
Technology for building and construction.

Their client base covers these key areas:
o Education/educational ICT
o Public sector
o Telecoms and mobile
o Not for profit
o Electronics (UK, pan-European and US)
o Digital satellite communication

The Role and Candidate
An independent, award-winning agency specialising in b2b (with some b2c) communications across the education/educational ICT and technology sectors. This new position has been created to strengthen existing client teams, and to play a leading role in client services and new business initiatives. The agency is particularly keen to grow and develop their people and the right person will have a genuine desire to nurture emerging talent.

The job role will include:
o Account team management, coaching and mentoring, line management.
o Resource planning including billability management and account growth across education and technology portfolio.
o Solid account handling experience encompassing client relationship management and strategy direction; visibility across all account activity and taking an active strategic lead.
o Some hands-on tactical delivery across accounts including media relations and leading on client liaison.
o Business development and client services activity with both existing and new clients across both sectors.
o Strong commercial focus.

Education/skills:
o Enthusiastic, ‘can-do’ approach; genuine desire to make a difference to the business.
o Genuine interest in coaching and team management.
o Strong, creative and strategic approach to developing client relations and new business.
o Strategic approach and tactical implementation of PR/communications campaigns; full client accountability.
o Mainland European languages helpful
o Graduate or Post Graduate Degree and relevant track record of success at senior practitioner level within agency or in-house.
o Computer/technology literate
