Job Title:Web Designer
Salary:£25,000 - £30,000 + excellent benefits
Location:Yorkshire
My client, a leading e-tail brand, is looking to recruit a web designer to work as part of a team with creative, Human-Computer Interaction and technical skills that's develop User Interface mock ups and deploy designs for this dynamic, high profile e-tail site and its related internal User Interface based consoles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design/Develop mock ups and web user interfaces for a leading e-tail brand
Develop creative and innovative user interface designs taking into account Human-Computer Interaction guidelines, web standards, technology and user capabilities
Generate clean HTML based on web standards
Maintain existing customer and internal web sites, user interface consoles and features
Use disciplined best practices to ensure high quality and well-designed code is deployed
Develop display advertising products in line with company standards
Working as part of a project team in a fast paced environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Web Human-Computer Interaction and usability experience required in commercial high traffic websites. Art or design qualifications would also be an advantage
Preference for e-tail web site design experience
Commercial experience as a web designer with established skills in design tools such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Flash MX
In depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, DHTML and Javascript are required
Knowledge in XML and PHP is preferred.
