Job Description
Our client is an industry leader in the growing online entertainment arena. They currently have a requirement for a VP of Art who will manage the global Art organization of an award winning game company. As VP of Art you will help define project scope and technology requirements and work with top management to help to build a high caliber team. The VP of Art reports directly to the Executive Producer and oversees Art Producers, Art Directors and Development Leads.
In terms of style, the ideal executive will be efficient, highly entrepreneurial and willing to roll up his/her sleeves. Some key competencies for the position include:
Industry Knowledge:
Demonstrated through a good understanding of the gaming and entertainment industries, and the requisite technical and business knowledge necessary to be successful. Additionally, he/she must be familiar with relevant industry trends and players, and a strong understanding of the commercial dynamics of the business.

Requirements:
· Prior Art-related experience managing a large team composed of members from diverse disciplines.
· Professional experience working in the game industry, including contributions on several shipped titles.
· Experience communicating with internal and external clients.
· Deep interest in online games, specifically virtual worlds
