This is an excellent opportunity with a leading UK retailer for a commercial Insight Analyst, specialising within SAS programming, to join their growing team in the head office based in Central London.

This leading retailer has gone through a dramatic period of change and is now looking to challenge for market dominance. In order for the business to continue its growth it needs a world class online insight function and is recruiting to add to this.

In this role you will be working with a large data section to identify actionable analysis. You will communicate at all levels, often to a non analytical population. You will also have autonomy to develop analytical tools and approaches.

This role contributes to the understanding of customer behaviour and development of a number of online services to meet the needs of customers and to increase their commercial benefit to the business.
- Development and management of regular insights reports for the online team
- Develop, track and improve customer metrics to enable online businesses to understand customer behaviour such as conversion, retention, frequency and spend analysis
- Customer profiling and identification of key customer groups
- Develop and maintain customer models and segmentations for purchase patterns, spend behaviour, products purchased
- Analysing and communicating insights and recommendations from customer survey data, competitor and market data sources
- Support the online team in the interpretation of analysis and identify recommendations for action
- Support online development projects with analysis and spreadsheet modelling
- Perform ad-hoc investigations into customer behaviour as required

Successful candidates will have:
- Degree-level competency in mathematics / statistics
- Proven track record in an analysis role, ideally gained within a commercial environment
- Strong SAS programming skills
- Highly computer literate with experience of using relational databases to analyse large volumes of data, and a general understanding of database principles
