Position: Advertising and Promotions Manager Location: Watford, Hertfordshire Salary: £50K base salary Benefits: Up to 20% bonus potential, Company car, Contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Blackberry and Laptop
ROLE: To manage the Marketing Services Department and be responsible for all advertising and promotions output including PR.
RESPONSIBILITIES: a) To plan and organise the promotional calendar, recommending offers and promotions to Head of Marketing and Commercial Director for their approval b) To be responsible for setting and maintaining the advertising and promotions budget and to be able to update the Head of Marketing with current expenditure figures as required at any time c) To liase with Retail Operations to ensure that all stores have adequate POS as necessary and that the POS is placed in time to coincide with the launch of the promotions etc d) To work with the Category Managers to advise them of planned promotions and support them with the selection and pricing of products for the promotion e) To participate in trading meetings to update executives on the promotional activities to support the commercial forecasts f) To communicate all Advertising and Promotions information to stores and other functions as necessary g) To plan and negotiate Media budget in association with Media agency under director of Head of Marketing h) To negotiate advertising production deals with all suppliers to ensure our clients work is always produced at the lowest cost for the required quality i) Special projects as discussed with Head of Marketing and Commercial Director
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) At least 7 years experience in retail marketing. b) Experience of A&P budget management c) Experience of campaign development d) Experience of agency management
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Possess a masters degree in business administration (MBA)
