Assistant Business Manager (Self Storage Solutions) Manchester

Position: Assistant Business Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: £17-20K depending on experience

COMPANY:
Our client offers Simple Self Storage Solutions to it's customers throughout the UK. They can assist with removal, packing materials, insurance, and of course self storage requirements.

ROLE:
To support the Business Manager in taking a customer focused and commercial approach to the running of the facility, with the aim of maximising turnover and productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To ensure that all customers are handled in a calm and professional manner.
b) To conduct regular analysis of competitor activity and that all staff are aware of competitor pricing policies and services offered.
c) To ensure all customer complaints are handled in a professional and timely manner whilst maintaining sensitivity to the customer and the Company.
d) To drive the conversion of prospects into customers.
e) To actively promote the sale of merchandise.
f) To promote the services of both the facility and the Company.
g) To maintain and develop the facility marketing database.
h) To identify and address local marketing opportunities.
i) To reconcile store's customer accounts on a daily and monthly basis.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Sales / Customer service background. Ideally within the hospitality, retail or self storage industries.
b) Confident, articulate, well presented professional.
c) Articulate good standard of written English - report writing.
d) Creative - understands the impact of good marketing.
e) Good IT Skills.

PLEASE NOTE: Although it is not frequent you will need to be available for call outs/out of hours needs/facility cover/weekend work when required.

You may have experience in the following roles: Hotel Manager, Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Duty Manager, Retail Manager, Deputy Manager, Retail Team Leader, Sales Manager, Depot Manager, Hire Manager, Unit Manager, Customer Service Team Leader, Customer Service Manager etc
