Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading retail graduate schemes starting in September 2009. Working in various head office departments, you will receive fantastic training and progression opportunities.

The successful candidates can look forward to a structured training programme with three 12 week placements, with exposure to various departments within the company. The role will give you a high level of responsibility and autonomy as well as the excitement of working in an evolving multi-channel environment. The scheme provides you with variety across the business, with the opportunity to specialise in preferred business areas that include:
- Business development
- E-Commerce
- Commercial planning and implementation
- Marketing
- Operations development
- Supply chain
- Media publishing
- Finance
- IT

Whatever team you join, you will be in a fast paced environment, where you will get the chance to be involved in a whole range of projects and have real accountabilities.

Following successful completion of the scheme, there will be the opportunity to move into a permanent managerial role within one of the company’s teams. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SCHEME DOES NOT START UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2009. 

To succeed you will need:
- At least a 2:1 degree in any discipline (achieved or expected).
- A minimum of BCC at A level or 260 UCAS points (or equivalent qualifications), preferably higher.
- Strong numerical, analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Some relevant commercial work experience.
