Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading Wiltshire based retail company in their marketing department. You would be responsible for carrying local marketing activities for their retail outlets.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

- Organise production of marketing communications material, including local leaflets, advertisements etc
- Brief internal/external designers, print & media buying agencies, copy writing, budget management and liaising with relevant departments and stores.
- Ensure stores understand, a) their own local market, b) the need to target their activity and budgets where it's most effective, and c) the need to monitor for evaluation and determine the best local advertising methods for the future.
- Ensure national marketing campaigns are promoted locally as appropriate for each store.
- Help stores maximises publicity through local media, e.g. features, joint promotions.
- Ensure each store develops reciprocal relationships with key local companies/organisations etc. working with external pr agencies as store requirements dictate.
- Organise store events such as lectures, or assist and advise stores when promoting their own planned events.
- Monitor and evaluate local advertising, promotions and events, using sales data, customer numbers and media codes as appropriate.
- Ensure we harness the activity that some stores do well and use across all stores as appropriate.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the potential for marketing each store locally and know what works, what doesn't and use to plan effective local marketing for all stores.
- Manage Local Marketing Budget keeping a tight control on spend and re-allocation
- Ensure all store advertising conforms to corporate standards.
- Organise and attend new store opening events, arranging lectures, food, giveaways etc  
You will ideally have a marketing degree or CIM, together with commercial experience within a marketing role.
