PR Manager / Marketing Manager (Fashion) Manchester

Position: PR & Promotions Manager
Location: Manchester, Altrincham and Birkenhead

COMPANY:

House of Fraser has been one of the UK's leading retailers for over 150 years, they are home to many of the top fashion brands. An excellent opportunity has just come up for a PR and Promotions Manager for their stores in the North West (Manchester based).

ROLE:

Reporting to the General Manager, your main responsibilities will be to;

a) Plan, organise and manage the budget and promotional activity and associated PR and Marketing for your area (cluster). This includes the organisation and management of corporate and customer events.
b) The overall objective is to gain positive on-going local media coverage for the House of Fraser brand and the specific stores within your remit, increase awareness / relevance of the brand through targeted activities, and drive both footfall and sales.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

a) Good understanding of the retail industry.
b) Experience in marketing and/or PR.
c) Highly organised with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
d) Effective interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain networks of contacts at all levels both internally and externally.
e) Ability to control and manage budgets.
f) Creative approach to new ideas and the flexibility to cope effectively with the wide ranging responsibilities and requirements of the role.
g) Results orientated with proven track record.

DESIREABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

a) FMCG, fashion or retail experience.
b) Marketing and/or PR qualification.
c) Events / project management experience.
d) Established media contacts.

You may have experience in the following roles: Local Marketing Manager, PR Manager, Public Relations Officer, PR Officer, CIM CAM MRS IDM, Events Organiser, Promotions Manager
