Our client is a global leader in their specialist area. They are passionate about providing quality healthcare products, which has kept them at the forefront of their profession as market leaders. With a strong focus on product advancement, quality and research our client is now seeking a Category Manager to join their team.
The main function of a Category Manager role is to increase the product penetration in the UK by developing category initiatives with leading customers. The ideal candidate will have proven sales or trade marketing experience and strong analytical skills.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Develop category management insights, initiatives and solutions
· To deliver key category, customer and shopper insights to National Accounts to drive performance
· Management of the team
· To drive insights which help shape brand marketing plans
· Budgeting
· Delivery of customer facing category reviews
· Delivery of objectives
· Presentations
Skills and Experience:
· Educated to degree level
· Practical knowledge of category management best practice
· Familiar with category management software tools
· Experience with managing third party agencies
· Data interpretation skills
· Proven ability to manage, lead and influence people
