A growing telecoms engineering business in Blandford, Dorset seeks a talented Graduate Sales Trainee to join their Sales & Marketing team. This is a role within a Technical environment, responsible for assisting the sales team in developing and supporting both existing and new customers throughout the sales cycle.
 
 You will act as a commercially-focused resource to the entire field sales team whilst also delivering on specific commercially-based projects.

This role represents an ideal entry into the 'world of technical sales'.  It is expected that you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to progress to a sales management role.

DUTIES, TASKS AND ACTIVITIES PERFORMED IN THE JOB:
Provide ongoing high quality support to the sales team, including:
Progressing sales enquiries
Generating and progressing quotations
Assisting in preparing proposals, Request For Information (RFI's) and Request For Proposal (RFP's)
General day-to-day commercial contact with customers
 
Proactively manage customer accounts:
Grow revenues year-on-year for your allocated accounts
Develop target accounts to become 1st/2nd Tier accounts
Expand the number of 3rd Tier Accounts
Manage and report on your own sales funnel
 
Assist in the execution of Product Marketing campaigns by:
Assisting the sales team in contacting target customers/markets
Understand product information and extract/highlight features, benefits and selling points of each product.
Any other ad hoc projects as and when required.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AREAS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Recently graduated in sales, business or relevant subject.
Good command of creative written English - able to write text for product brochures and PR releases
Experience of graphics and/or web tools an advantage
Enthusiastic, hard-working team player
Must enjoy working under pressure in a competitive and dynamic environment
A diligent and persistent can-do attitude is a pre-requisite
Must be prepared to travel including overnight stays in both the UK and overseas
General Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Web Dreamweaver etc
Graphics Graffle, Visio etc
