About the Client

 

An opportunity to join a leading mobile communications business looking to appoint a Senior Usability Researcher to guide the business in their product and service development.

 

 

About the Role

 

The role will be responsible for:

using expert knowledge to guide the design teams

planning and executing research projects - often in conjunction with external agencies guide the development of products and services and the overall usability strategy.

 undertaking practical assessments to investigate how people use mobile products

making recommendations to designers and utilising assessment results to identify areas for improvement

 evangelising usability within the business, and being a champion for it within the multidisciplinary design process

Significantly, there will be a particular focus on concepting.

 

 

What Were Looking For

 

Understanding of user-centred design;

Expert knowledge in usability methodologies;

Proven laboratory, interview, and observation skills;

Ideally a mobile background

Strong experimental & statistical design skills;

Experience working with external research agencies;

Excellent communication and team working skills;

fluent in written and spoken English;
