This globally renowned mobile network operator are looking for a Technical Project Manager. You will be responsible for working with the Group Project Manager - UI to ensure the phased delivery of the next generation Mobile User Interface. The UI is aimed at high-end devices with full browser capability but should extend to effecting partial integration with the existing WAP environment to extend the user base.
The Mobile UI is a key component of the future Mobile environment and as such will be this company's window to driving data subscriptions and premium content purchase, as well as the vehicle to generate access and drive advertising revenue.
The role is a Group function tasked with delivery of the UI Project across the OB's - Germany, UK, Ireland, Czech Republic and will therefore involve working and building relationships in a multi-cultural / cross-functional environment.
The Project Manager will specifically be tasked with driving the detailed design and development aspects of the UI Project, which will be an evolving process.
The UI is currently the prime deliverable for the Group Mobile Internet Team.
Essential requirements:
Degree level qualification or equivalent
Minimum 3 years European / International experience of Product Management and User Interface design, preferably within a Telco, Internet or Customer facing Technology environment.
Working knowledge of the Mobile Internet environment and associated customer experience.
Ability to develop, manage and deliver products on budget and within a defined time frame.
Proven track record in the delivery of operational services with particular attention to detail.
Excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills with a proven ability to work with individuals from other cultures / countries.
Complete understanding of the mobile environment / industry, consumption, competition technology and market drivers.
Consummate team player-able to work in a cross functional environment.
Ability to build internal / external relationships and gain respect and credibility.
Rudimentary understanding of the technology environment and technological process.
Strong IT skills (MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Internet applications etc).
