About the Role:

The Payments Team are responsible for the day to day management of a number of activities within the Financial Shared Services team including payment runs, cash allocation, month end reporting, currency forecasts and treasury deals.

The role and tasks required will be determined by the level of experience, ability and where required the level/stage of qualification of the individual.

You will be responsible for:

-Business Partnering with teams including GBI Finance, AP, Treasury & Procurement.

-Producing accurate data and analysis feeding into GBI Finance

-Proactively driving compliance & continuous improvement.

The role will sit as part of the Payments Team within Accounts Payable covering a variety of tasks and duties that include but are not limited to those outlined above.

Key Responsibilities to include a combination of:


-Preparation of accurate currency forecasts

-Automated and manual payment runs

-Day to day management of cash & bank

-Payment processing via HSBC

-Treasury Deals

Business Partnering:

-Work closely with GBI Finance to ensure reporting is timely & accurate.

-Work closely with AP to ensure cash forecast is accurate & variances understood & explained

-Work closely with Treasury ensuring banking transactions are cleared in a timely & accurate way.

-Work alongside the business to ensure payments are approved, processed & recorded in a compliant and controlled way.

Other responsibilities:

-Drive continuous improvement in relevant areas to ensure processes are lean

-Additional relevant duties to support business/FSS team change and growth


-Part Qualified CIMA (other financial qualifications will also be considered)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

-Good understanding of financial & accounting principles

-Intermediate Excel skills

-Team player

-Good communicator

-Systems: SAP, MS Office

-Proactive approach with a personable communication style

-Compliant & disciplined

-Ability to identify a problem & see through to resolution
