++ This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced strategic advertising planner to join an innovative team based in central Brighton ++


An Account Planner is responsible for media plans and related services including audience research, creative and tracking to ensure the chosen strategy meets the client’s campaign objectives. The Account Planners role is to lead on understanding, reaching and engaging relevant audiences. An Account Executive will report directly into the Account Planner and you will report into the Account Director.

You will be responsible for...

+ Work directly with clients to create effective briefs and media plans (including Digital Advertising, Creative and Tracking)
+ Work with client, account executive and delivery teams to ensure plans are delivered on time
+ Work closely with key contacts in delivery teams (direct media buyers, programmatic media, paid media) to ensure the communication strategy includes the full breadth of service to meet the client's objectives
+ Identify testing opportunities
+ Review campaign results to ensure activity delivers what is promised
+ Provide context to campaign reporting to highlight learnings and propose future recommendations
+ Work closely with the Account Director to identify other areas that may benefit the client’s wider marketing activity
+ Contribute media plans and knowledge to proposals and bids
+ Attend Strategic Partner pitches
+ Delegate tasks to account executive
+ Manage account executive and ensure they are developing their skills
+ Act as point of contact for planning related queried from other team members
+ Support the Account Director to provide the knowledge/ training to team members so they can improve their account planning and are aware of service developments
+ Accountability for planning quality from staff members across the team measured using multiple methods including client feedback and spot checks
+ Work with other Account Planners, Account Director, team and relevant Heads/ Senior Team to feedback to delivery teams on the effectiveness of current services and propose new services

Advertising Account Planner Required Knowledge and Experience:

+ In-depth knowledge of digital advertising platforms e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, PPC
+ In-depth knowledge of student audience
+ In-depth knowledge of planning process
+ Experience delivering plans to scope and time
+ Experience presenting at a high level
+ Management/ Mentoring Experience
+ Degree educated
+ In-depth knowledge of the modern media landscape
+ In-depth knowledge of creative, advertising, tracking, reporting etc.
