Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in Cloud Computing, is seeking a talented Game Tech Marketing lead, who’ll be responsible for creating and implementing the regional marketing strategy for the Games industry in Northern Europe (focus on UKI, France, DACH & Nordics), to help drive awareness and adoption of AWS among Game development studios, publishers, and developers. This is a unique opportunity for a driven, self-starter to play an important role in a fast-growing business, and to help drive significant value for Games companies looking to build sophisticated, scalable games loved by millions of players across the globe.

The mission of the Amazon Game Tech Team is to increase AWS awareness and adoption among game dev companies, studios, and indies globally. In close collaboration with other regional Game Tech marketing leads and the global Game Tech marketing team, you will be responsible for establishing the regional marketing strategy, creating and executing localized programs, campaigns, communications, and events in support of the Game Tech business development and sales teams in Northern Europe. We’re looking for a talented individual who understands how to engage effectively with this audience, can contribute towards creating compelling propositions with the goal of improving awareness, educating customers and increasing AWS adoption. A passion for Games is a must. You will know all the key players and have industry street-cred either from a sector background perspective or an affinity perspective – ideally both.

Functional Responsibilities:
· Define and execute the strategic marketing plan that improves customer engagement. Create constantly improving demand programs that promote awareness, platform signups, service-level adoption and positive word-of-mouth recommendations
· Generate interest and provide insight into the portfolio of AWS solutions for games companies and developers, while evangelizing existing customer use cases on their success using the platform
· Introduce new approaches to digital marketing and content syndication to elevate awareness around our content and messaging distribution. Manage localization where required
· Coordinate with global and regional Game Tech field marketing, PR and communications teams to ensure brand consistency and to fully leverage programs available to deploy
· Build an event marketing and sponsorship strategy, coordinating with stakeholders that include AWS customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure AWS Game Tech is represented at the right engagements
· Implement robust measurement tools and analytics to continuously optimize response and return on investment for all marketing initiatives. Drive improvements to gain operational and cost efficiencies across demand activity
· Manage and monitor dedicated marketing spend, including budget reconciliation, spend assessment and requisition management
· Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness of deliverables


· Extensive B2B marketing experience in a customer-facing role within game tech companies and/or within the games ecosystem at the regional or global level
· Familiarity with game development platforms (Engines like Unity, Unreal) and high level knowledge of market dynamics (key publishers, vendors, developers, middleware, etc)
· Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional matrixed organization
· Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously to deliver results under tight deadlines
· A fast learner who is exceedingly organized and eager to be part of a very fast moving organization. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role for a rapidly growing business.
· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and proactively to solve problems
· Able to successfully handle conflict and knows when to negotiate or escalate appropriately
· Experience using Salesforce CRM for lead qualification & pipeline management, alongside familiarity with Marketing automation platforms
· Attention to accuracy, and able to handle multiple priorities under time pressure in a high growth environment where things shift fast
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Confident communication, relationship building, and influencing skills


· A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study
· Familiarity with cloud computing concepts & terminology
· Adaptable to change, flexible hours, and working in a fast paced environment
