An exciting Midlands based opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Graphic Designer to work alongside the Brand and Design Manager of an international law firm. The successful candidate will provide support in meeting the firm's needs for a wide range of communication materials and channels. Though based in Birmingham the role will require occasional travel to the firm's other UK offices.
The role holder will be an essential part of an international marketing team and will have the opportunity to share their ideas and develop their own initiatives. Key points of contact within the Marketing team will be the firm's Communications Manager, PR Manager and the Director of Marketing who are based in the firm's London office and you will also collaborate with other members of the marketing team, fee earners and partners. The design team plays a key role in managing and developing the firm's brand and house style in a strong and consistent way and you will support all aspects of design and production for the firm's projects. The Assistant Graphic designer must be comfortable working with both print and digital media with areas of responsibility covering brochures and flyers through to exhibition stands and adverts. The firm has a series of magazines that solely use digital illustrations to depict the written articles, meaning illustrations must be a key part of your skill set along with a good eye for layouts.
Creative and enthusiastic, you will be proficient in the use of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and have previous experience working in a similar role in a professional services environment, which should include some digital experience. An eye for detail to ensure a consistent brand look and good, clean layout design and illustration skills are essential and the Assistant Graphic Designer must also enjoy managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
