2019 will be a pivotal year for MoneySuperMarket, and an exciting time to become part of our Content team. With a refreshed strategic direction, a refined target audience and a newly developed brand positioning, content will play a crucial role in putting the customer at the heart of the MoneySuperMarket experience.

We are responsible for the conception, management and delivery of all customer-facing content on MoneySupermarket.com, while supporting the wider strategic initiatives of the marketing and product teams.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and will build on our excellent communication & collaborative tendencies whilst being capable of multi-tasking to a high organizational standard. We are an outgoing, enthusiastic and tenacious bunch that aims high and rarely compromises and are looking for another person in this vein.

Why our role?

Working with the Content Lead, the Audience Development Manager will spearhead initiatives to grow audience and engagement with MoneySuperMarket’s owned and operated channels. You will develop and manage the implementation of best practice reporting and optimisation of our content, working closely with the wider marketing and data science teams. Well-versed in digital content and marketing ecosystems, you will extend our content life-cycle, growing traffic and video views of MoneySuperMarket.com content across all platforms, while fostering broader engagement as part of an ROI-focused marketing plan.

You will have four core responsibilities:

1. Audience: Take strategic ownership of non-commercial audience acquisition, engagement & content distribution

2. Extend the content life-cycle: Own content development, design & optimisation to ensure our assets deliver value over time

3. Strategic partnerships: Evaluate and implement strategic content and audience partnerships in line with current business goals

4. Cross-functional support: Provide content consultancy and governance for marketing, product, UX and commercial teams

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

Define KPIs for audience engagement. Own Customer Analytics for content. Includes vetting and selecting of third party tools as required
Support with the governance and management of all on & offsite tracking and reporting
Support the product and UX teams with best practice content design and measurement recommendations
Support product and marketing with on-site testing & optimisation of content pages
Support the digital team with management of paid and unpaid marketing channels including organic search and social media
Support with amplifying PR with on-site promotion and extending the content life-cycle via publishing
Support the marketing and product teams with the development and launch of new products and applications, including Mortgages and Credit Monitor
Support the Senior Editors with scoping and implementing new content categories and concepts for MoneySuperMarket.com
Business casing content strategic partnerships for audience, brand and revenue
Deliver ongoing competitive analysis and strategic positioning evaluations across content, marketing and product through the lens of customer engagement
Work with the Content Delivery Manager to ensure reporting requirements and knowledge sharing within the team are maintained
Maintain and deliver an audience development product roadmap
Work with the marketing and research teams to identify and exploit audience opportunities as part of an integrated marketing plan
Support the Content Lead with behavioural insights to deliver content strategy

What do you need to excel in this role?­­

Essential:

Extensive previous Digital Marketing, and/or Editorial background
Expertise in Google Analytics or Omniture Site Catalyst, social media platforms and other analytics/optimisation tools
Deep understanding of audience acquisition and retention best practices and benchmarks
Experience working with a financial services publisher or brand

Nice to have:

Product / UX experience; SCRUM or AGILE qualifications is a plus
Experience of product development and user testing
Experience of leading across multiple marketing disciplines outside of core brand & advertising capabilities including PPC, SEO and CRM
Technical proficiency with html and programming code
Ability to inspire followership, engagement and high performance with the ability to influence across a matrixed team
Marketing professional qualifications such as CIM
Marketing budget responsibilities
Understanding of TCF and FCA regulations
