An excellent regional role has arisen in a leading national law firm. The Business Development Adviser will work as part of the Marketing team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis and will support business development across the Banking & Financial Services Group.
Based in Birmingham, and reporting to the Head of Groups BD, the role holder will work strategically and tactically to plan and deliver value-added business development support ensuring key objectives in the Banking, Restructuring and Financial Disputes & Regulation business plans are achieved. The Business Development Adviser will support partners to ensure the successful execution of all plans and the measurement of results. You will be tasked with identifying and developing target markets and presenting the firm's expertise in a consistent and joined up way. This is a collaborative role which requires the successful applicant to build strong, proactive relationships with Banking & FS fee earners across all offices and positive working relationships with the wider Marketing team who will be integral to the success of this role. Key responsibilities will include reviewing and updating key marketing collateral; drafting and producing pitch responses, tailored expertise documents and client presentations; client and market research reports to support pursuits and sales activities, including competitor analysis; supporting partners on targeting initiatives; and identifying future business models and value propositions.
The Business Development Adviser will be confident, proactive and solutions focused, with a team-oriented attitude and must possess strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate at all levels. Applicants should have similar experience in a previous role while experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
