An excellent regional role has arisen in a leading national law firm. The Business Development Adviser will work as part of the Client & Market Development team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis and will support business development across the Commercial & Dispute Resolution Group.
Based in Birmingham, the role holder will work strategically and tactically to plan and deliver value-added business development support ensuring key objectives in the Commercial, Technology & Media, Dispute Resolution, Regulatory and Shipping business plans are achieved. The Business Development Adviser will work with partners to ensure the successful execution of all plans and the measurement of results. They will be tasked with identifying and developing target markets and presenting the firm's expertise in a consistent and joined up way. This is a collaborative role which requires the successful applicant to build strong, proactive relationships with Commercial & Dispute Resolution fee earners across all offices and positive working relationships with the wider CMD team who will be integral to the success of this role. Key responsibilities will include reviewing and updating key marketing collateral; drafting and producing pitch responses, tailored expertise documents and client presentations; client and market research reports to support pursuits and sales activities, including competitor analysis; supporting partners on targeting initiatives; and identifying future business models and value propositions.
The Business Development Adviser will be confident, proactive and solutions focused, with a team-oriented attitude and must possess strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise at all levels. This role would suit an assistant looking for the next step up in their professional services career.
