Working under the direction and supervision of the Marketing &BD Manager, this role as BD Co-ordinator is integral in helping to drive forward the TMT Industry Sector Group. You will support the Marketing &BD Manager in every aspect of M&BD, from administration to project management, playing a key part in pushing forward the sector's M&BD plan.
You will coordinate a structured approach to client targeting and new business generation, pitching, profile raising and marketing campaigns across the sector and on an international basis. You will also coordinate activities with the central and international M&BD functions to ensure prompt and seamless service delivery in areas such as analysis, publications and event organisation. Specific responsibilities include:
Pitching, Targeting and New Business Generation: Keeping all standard pitch material up to date and collate and maintain the pitch tracking tool including on-going reviews and recommendations to improve processes. Co-ordinating pitches with fee earners, including drafting proposals and credentials and develop relationships across practice and regional M&BD teams to ensure access to relevant credentials and collaboration on global panel reviews, multi-jurisdictional and multi-practice pitches.
Client Development: Supporting the M&BD Manager and the ISG Heads to oversee the portfolio of clients within the industry sector: creating processes for prioritising clients, monitoring and reviewing performance and sharing best practice. Encouraging full and effective use of the firm's CRM database (InterAction) and client best practice toolkit.
M&BD Planning and Budgeting: Delivering market research, client analysis and internal intelligence to support the annual business planning process and assisting the implementation and creation of M&BD plans and budgets, regularly monitoring and reporting on progress.
Marketing Campaigns, Thought Leadership and Profile Raising: Writing compelling marketing communications; helping to create and implement compelling and integrated campaigns to help raise the profile of the firm and for the groups, including our approach to directories, awards and sponsorships. Overseeing client events and seminars and work with the events team acting as an 'Account Coordinator' for internal clients.
You will have previous experience of working in a marketing & business development focused role in a professional services firm, with previous experience of industry sector marketing and exposure to the TMT sector. You'll be a collaborative team player; able to take direction, but also able to work autonomously with minimal guidance when needed. You'll be highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter, able to manage their own workload, with a can-do attitude with strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and have excellent interpersonal and (internal and external) client-facing skills. You will be pragmatic, robust, diplomatic and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
