An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international legal firm as a Business Development Executive offering support to the Energy & Utilities and Transport & Automotive sectors. The role holder will be based in either the firm's London or Bristol office.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager (E&U and T&A), you will co-ordinate and support all internal and external business development activities for these sectors. This role will bring a wide variety of interesting work and significant responsibilities. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of the sector BD plans by carrying out agreed sales and marketing activities and providing support for budget management, internal communication and reporting requirements. The Business Development Executive will enjoy a varied role incorporating firm-wide campaigns, thought leadership, marketing collateral, digital online content, social media, award entries and events. On the Business Development side, the successful candidate will also provide support to both the sectors' opportunity pipeline management process and CRM programme and assist with selected pitches, ensuring best practice in opportunity assessment and pitch management.
The ideal candidate for the role of Business Executive will be well educated with a background in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment, enabling the role holder to hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will be looking for a role that is a mixture of sales and marketing challenges and will also be exceptionally organised, with a good eye for detail and excellent communication skills and must have the ability to build excellent rapport with both the sales and marketing and legal teams and be confident in briefing partners and lawyers on sales and marketing initiatives.
