An exciting opportunity has arisen for a business development specialist to join a fast growing international law firm to support the delivery of BD and marketing activities.
The role is broad in nature and will require a self-motivated person who is capable of working with and supporting the firm's BD Managers in the management of existing client relationships and the development of new business opportunities. The BD Executive will have a dual reporting line to the Corporate BD Manager and Energy Senior BD Executive. Main responsibilities will include drafting and implementing business and marketing plans; developing campaigns to grow new and existing business; working on pitches and credentials statements, covering the entire process including document preparation, presentation rehearsals, post pitch feedback and capturing and reviewing deal and pitch content ensuring information is available on all global databases; coordinating and drafting directory submissions, league tables and awards; coordinating events and conference attendance; drafting and updating marketing materials; raising the profile of the partners and practice via social media and the website; championing the use of the firm's CRM system including ensuring all relevant information is in the system.
The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with previous business development and marketing experience working in a professional services environment, ideally legal, to include pitch experience. The BD Executive must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent writing, editing and presentation skills allied high attention to detail and the tenacity to see projects and tasks through to successful completion.
