As Business Development Executive at this global law firm, you will work closely with the BD Manager and the wider BD team to develop and implement BD plans and initiatives for the IP, Media & Technology group.
You will be part of a BD team that is already well-established within the firm and which is respected by partners and other fee-earners for its high standards of service and the ideas and commitment it brings to business development activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a BD Executive looking for a stretching next move. The successful candidate will also support some of the firm's cross firm industry groups, working with partners and associates from across the whole firm. This role is important in helping the firm build on the client development and profile-raising work that has already been done and continue to create a more structured approach to BD activities. The role holder will also be central in helping the firm develop a more commercial outlook to its clients and its work. The Business Development Executive will enjoy a broad role with responsibilities including managing several key client accounts; monitoring key client plans and objectives; contributing to the development of action-oriented BD plans and budget agreements, both domestically and internationally; managing and supporting the bids process; internal and client communications and marketing initiatives; and conducting market research and analysis.
The successful candidate will be a bright, proactive and creative graduate or equivalent with a good academic record and strong client account experience gained in any industry where client relationships are managed by a central point, but ideally in a professional services environment. It is essential that the Business Development Executive possess excellent interpersonal and influencing skills including the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and, in addition, you must be a confident written and oral communicator and presenter, happy to work directly with partners and present to a wider audience as required.
