A large international legal firm is looking for a Business Development Executive to work closely with the Business Development team in its New York office to determine strategic approaches in business development, communications and media relations, and the most effective ways to support the European practice. The Executive will work with the locally-based partners and other lawyers in London to provide support in developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies. The Executive will also work with the London Office Director on a range of London-specific tasks.
Responsibilities include: Client Relationship Management, Market Research, Client Proposals, Presentations and RFPs, Marketing Literature and Directories, Data Management, Communications - Public Relations and Advertising and London Office Management.
The ideal candidate would have approximately two years' experience working in a BD role in a professional services environment, preferably within a law firm. We will, of course, consider applications from candidates with less or more experience than stated, provided they are able to demonstrate successful delivery of the responsibilities outlined above in a previous role/capacity. The ideal candidate must have superior project management skills, coupled with proven writing, editing and proofreading skills. They would be a team player with experience working with and supporting a business development function spread across the globe. In addition, the ideal candidate would have a strong intellectual curiosity, be a creative thinker and have an awareness of wider political, economic and development trends in the world today. Proficient systems skills (experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience in Interaction would be ideal, though not necessary.
