An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international legal firm as a Business Development Executive offering support to two of the firm's key sectors, Real Estate and Infrastructure and Retail & Consumer Brands. The role holder will be based in either the firm's London or Bristol office.
The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of the two sectors' marketing plans by carrying out agreed BD and marketing activities and providing support for budget management, internal communication and reporting requirements. A key responsibility of the role will involve working with the BD Manager, fee earners and Head of BD to ensure best practice in opportunity assessment, pitch management and pitch production. Drafting and maintaining pitch and credentials and deals experience documents, you will keep pitch pipelines up-to-date. The successful applicant will also provide support for the sector CRM programme including provision of reports as required. You will be heavily involved in reporting, including working with the firm's reporting teams to create and internally publish the sectors' key reports, collecting, filing and reporting on the sector's key deals, keeping the sectors' key tracking reports up to date and providing required sector content for reports required by other parts of the business. From a marketing perspective, the Business Development Executive will assist on the implementation of the strategic marketing plan including creating and distributing marketing collateral, coordinating the roll out of thought leadership material across the sector teams, implementing social media activity and project managing sector events.
The ideal candidate for the role of Business Development Executive will be well educated with a background in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment, enabling the role holder to hit the ground running. Exceptionally organised, with a good eye for detail and excellent communication skills, you must have the ability to build excellent rapport with both the sales and marketing and legal teams and be confident in briefing partners and lawyers on sales and marketing initiatives.
