A leading legal firm needs an experienced Business Development Manager to help its Banking & Finance sector grow revenues and profile, through the effective management of a core group of clients and targets and the creation of strong propositions and campaigns.

Based in London, you will enjoy a broad role that encompasses the annual business planning and budgeting process for the sector, with the Business Development Manager ensuring that potential BD activities are appropriately prioritised and approved activities, aimed at targeting potential clients and further developing existing clients, are implemented to budget. You will also support pitches and capability statements on which the sector leads on and will monitor the outcome of pitches, record results on the firm's pitch database and conduct pitch reviews as necessary. From a marketing perspective, the successful applicant will contribute to the development and execution of marketing and thought leadership campaigns for the sector, contribute to a series of seminars and events, develop and maintain the BD infrastructure for the sector, including standard pitch content, clearly defined client mailing list for the sector and brochures, flyers and inserts, and must ensure that directory and awards submissions completed on time and reflect the correct messaging about the firm and its overall strategy.

You will be a graduate or similar and have proven success in a similar role within a professional services firm, covering all aspects of Business Development and Marketing, including pitching, practice group and sector marketing, client targeting and campaigns. You will be creative, output driven, results orientated and have a thorough understanding of how to support and implement best practice. In addition the Business Development Manager will possess financial budgeting skills and be a good team player and strong communicator with excellent IT skills.
