An excellent regional role has arisen in a leading national law firm. The Business Development Manager will work as part of the Client & Market Development team and will lead and develop business development and marketing across the Corporate group.
The role holder will ideally be based in Birmingham, but this is a national role so applicants could also be based out of London with travel to Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Reading. You will work strategically and tactically to plan, deliver and lead incisive and value-added business development support ensuring key objectives in the Corporate, Tax and Private Client business plans are achieved. The Business Development Manager will work with partners to agree joined-up business plans, and subsequently ensure the successful execution of all plans and the measurement of results. They will be tasked with identifying and developing target markets, co-ordinating activities to develop the profile of the group and presenting the firm's expertise in a consistent and joined up way. This is a collaborative role which requires the successful applicant to build strong, proactive relationships with Corporate fee earners across all offices and positive working relationships with the wider CMD team who will be integral to the success of this role. You will manage a BD Adviser, providing support, technical advice and coaching to assist them in the delivery of their objectives.
The Business Development Manager will be confident, proactive and solutions focused, with a team-oriented attitude, and will possess strong project management and communication skills, with an ability to liaise, both internally and externally, at all levels. This role would suit a business development professional with a strong understanding of targeting, managing pipelines, credentials and pitches and implementing BD plans.
