This is a fantastic 6 month fixed term contract opening for a motivated Business Development Manager to join the Financial Services team of a primary international law firm. It is a very exciting opportunity for someone to work with a group of dynamic partners and make a real difference.
It will be your responsibility to drive forward initiatives that you feel would directly impact on the success of the sector. With line management responsibility for two Business Development Executives and a Business Development Assistant in the team, you will lead the formulation and management of the BD budget and ensure the firm is getting the best ROI from the budget. You will be expected to liaise with Head of Sectors Business Development, other Heads of BD and other BD Managers to share best practice and coordinate BD activity to facilitate collaborative working between Practices and Sectors. The Business Development Manager will be heavily involved in strategic business planning and the development of CRM programs and will play both a lead advisory and 'hands-on' role in coordinating and shaping proposals and credential statements, as well as leading and advising on designated "must win" pursuits and opportunities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing thought leadership campaigns and overseeing firm wide BD activities such as web site material, credentials database and case study material.
Pre-requisites for this role include an outstanding academic record or equivalent allied to proven business development experience in a similar role gained in a partnership environment, to include significant team management and financial services practice or sector experience. The Business Development Manager will also possess impeccable communication skills and gravitas with senior internal clients.
