A leading national accountancy firm is looking for an outstanding individual to join their small team as Business Development Manager on a 15 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role holder will support individual partners, National Practice Groups and regional offices with their business development activities. This would suit someone who is working at Assistant level, looking for their next step up to a Manager-level role.
The firm's seven National Practice Groups, which include partners from across the firm, were created specifically to maintain and develop presence and seek new business growth in selected sectors. Working across the firm means the role will be incredibly varied in terms of the type of new business opportunities that present and the offices and sectors involved. The key responsibilities of this role include the management and co-ordination of tender documentation including responding to an RFP and ITT, the drafting of core text where appropriate, the co-ordination of tender teams and helping with final presentations. The role will also involve conducting business development research, helping identify targets, working on subsequent campaigns and involvement in other ad-hoc business development projects.
You will need to be academically bright with outstanding internal consultancy skills. The firm requires a natural, confident people person and communicator with the enthusiasm and drive to push BD to the forefront of their thinking. The Business Development Manager's experience will need to have been gained in another professional services firm and you will need to demonstrate exposure (3-4 years ideally) to managing the bids process from start to finish with a proven ability to influence and challenge partners.
Leighton Taylor promotes diversity, equality and fair treatment in all aspects of our work. It is our policy that as a provider of marketing and business development recruitment services, we will work to address existing inequalities, eliminate discrimination and promote equal opportunities and diversity.
