A great opportunity has arisen for someone with strong professional services experience to join a rapidly expanding global law firm as a Business Development Manager.
The role holder will assume responsibility for driving forward initiatives that they feel would directly impact on the success of the business. The Business Development Manager will liaise at the most senior levels of the partnership, influencing internal stakeholders, and will require a good strategic handle allied to strong organisational and operational skills. Working with the Head of BD - Finance and the Leader of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround practice UK and EMEA, you will develop and support the delivery of the RTI business development strategy, through implementation of business development and marketing plans, and facilitating pursuits and preparing written pitch documents. You will be heavily involved in strategic business planning, detailed research and analysis and developing standard materials and infrastructure to support pitching activity in the RTI space. There also be broader strategic marketing involved as well, including profile raising initiatives such as conferences, web and online presence, thought leadership and preparation of relevant directory submissions in consultation with the partners.
Pre-requisites for this role of Business Development Manager include a good degree or equivalent and extensive marketing or business development experience gained in a professional services environment with a particular focus on strategic selling, pursuits management and account management. The ideal candidate will also possess demonstrated experience of project managing major tenders and bids in a global environment and in building strategic relationships, managing clients and pursuing new business opportunities. In addition, candidates will need strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with the partnership and business services management alike.
