This high profile role represents an exciting opportunity for a strong bids specialist to join, not only one of the world's largest law firms, but also one in which the advice and support of the central bids function is both well regarded and highly valued throughout the practice.
This is a high profile role reporting to the EMEA Head of Bids and the Senior Strategic Bids Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, project manage and draft RfP, deemed to be of strategic importance, throughout the full bid lifecycle. You will ensure all bids are delivered efficiently, consistently and professionally. A large focus of this role will be to work with the EMEA Head of Bids to champion, drive and embed best practice across business development and fee earners. The Bid Manager will liaise with the sector-specific Business Development teams, ensuring that responses are truly bespoke in terms of both client and relevant sector. You will also provide coaching for presentation rehearsals and Q&A sessions, lead client feedback and conduct internal debriefs. The role holder will have extensive engagement with senior partners who lead top tier client relationships across the firm and will need to remain conscious of this fact in their day-to-day activities.
To fulfil the requirements of the role, you will need to be a bright self-starter, with a relevant degree and professionally recognised marketing or communications qualification, who can work on their own initiative and is proactive in developing ideas and solutions. The Bid Manager will have proven bids experience, preferably in a legal services firm, allied with strong influencing skills and the ability to liaise confidently and build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
