Brand Manager - Food Service
Burnley, Lancashire

Key Objective:

The Brand Manager is responsible for creating, developing and executing the brand strategy and to apply an integrated approach to all brand activities to enable and encourage improved brand performance.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Ongoing development of brand strategy including the creation of an annual budgeted brand plan
  • Controlling and tracking of the Own Brand Marketing budget
  • Report brand activity to technical / buying team in monthly own brand meeting
  • Sales Bulletin - liaising with suppliers and Buying team then collating and writing-up of new/updated product info with detail relevant to the sales team. Sent out on a monthly basis
  • Photography / videos - organising and direction of (recipe suggestions, linked products, composition, props) including liaison with videographer, photographer and food stylist
  • Promotions - liaising with Buying Team for quarterly plan on Own Brand products to be featured within monthly promotions and providing images and supporting info
  • Telesales Focus: Creation and execution of monthly brand telesales activity
  • Magazine: Ensuring brand exposure is maximised within the monthly magazine and all Group publications

  • Development of comprehensive social media activity schedule
  • Ensure all customer facing product information is available on-line, accurate and easy to find with relevant imagery.
  • Develop the web strategy to ensure the brand is accurately represented and supports needs of the membership
  • Ensure all brand assets are easily accessible, (to locate and download), for members to use within their own marketing comms

  • Creation and implementation of new/existing product launch marketing plan

  • Liaise with Technical Manager / marketing co-ordinator to ensure NPD / EPD is available for specified launch plan
  • Full understanding of launch pad process and manage projects in absence of marketing co-ordinator
  • Own Brand Marketing Literature - update/creation Brand Product Guide and range brochures; creation of product adverts and fact sheets as required or requested by members
  • Liaising with members and various suppliers for branded marketing/promotional items including design and coordination of annual co-branded diaries and year planners
  • Awards - selecting products and providing all required information for submission at annual industry awards
  • Events - attendance and participation in Group events (Group Sales Meeting, Annual Exhibition) including creation and delivery of presentations (Sales Meeting), ensuring an Own Brand presence at annual exhibition
  • Sales Meetings - attendance at member sales meetings to present Own Brand new/updated product information

Qualifications & experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience
  • Proven brand management skills
  • Competent in use of Microsoft suite of packages
  • Full clean driving licence
